We are clearly in the midst of a troubling period for our country with the spread of Covid 19 and our thoughts go out to all those who are particularly vulnerable at this worrying time.
As a 230-year-old business we have lived through world wars and epidemics and we know that by everyone pulling together, supporting each other and holding their nerve, the country can get through this.
As a business, we are here to help all our farming, haulage, business and retail customers and play our part to help keep you and the country moving.
We are carefully following all Government advice to help protect our staff and our customers and have initiated an enhanced and stringent cleaning and hygiene programme at all our sites.
Clearly, staff with any symptoms of Covid 19 are not permitted on site and will be self-isolating at home. However, to be on the extra safe side, any customer facing member of staff who shows any signs of even a common cold will be redeployed or sent home.
By the same token, we would also respectfully ask that customers do not visit us if they have any symptoms they are worried about. Instead, please call us and we will see what we can do to come out to you, or deliver to you, in a safe way for all concerned.
We have always believed in going the extra mile for our customers and our team are committed to doing everything we reasonably can to support our customers, staff and community at this challenging time.
