This acquisition brings together two long-established businesses with similar cultures and franchises and in many ways is a perfect fit for both businesses. The key franchises we will hold with the new business are New Holland and JCB, along with Kuhn Farm Machinery, McConnel, Honda, Krone, Stewart, and many other smaller franchises that add value to our business. As part of the acquisition, we have bought three of their agricultural branches covering parts of Berkshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire and this will double the size of the Haynes agricultural business. These branches will be re-branded by Haynes Agricultural shortly.
This expansion gives Haynes Agricultural a long-term future in the Agricultural sector and allows us to invest further in the services we provide through economies of scale, so we can deliver and exceed the expectations of our customers. An example of this is precision farming, as with this new scale we will now invest and grow a team that has the expertise to address customers wants and needs across our enlarged territory. There are many other synergies that will also offer key benefits to customers following a period of settling in, that we will roll out in due course.
This expansion of our business has the full support of our key manufacturers who are keen to work with us to further grow and develop our business across our expanded territory. We therefore very much hope that our many valued customers, as well as those valued customers of the previous Oakes business, will shortly see the benefits of this increased scale, which should enable us to better support customers farming needs well into the future.
