Truck Service Manager


An exciting opportunity has arisen at Haynes Trucks in Ashford for a dynamic and experienced Truck Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving all financial targets set, whilst controlling the workshop and stock levels. You will also be responsible for managing workshop staff, maintaining good staff relations, demonstrating leadership at all times, whilst communicating with senior management and Directors.

You will also be responsible for apprentices, the selection, training and their reviews as well as working closely with our Health & Safety team to fully comply with all aspects of H&S. Communication with all sectors of the business is imperative, and you will be expected to attend internal meetings with senior Management and to organize regular meetings with staff, key customers, manufacturers, trade bodies etc. in order to resolve issues and to maintain a full market awareness using the information gained for the benefit of the business.

To be fully responsible for meeting with representatives of suppliers and organisations to deal with purchases, problems and other matters related to the Service Department’s business as well as negotiating commercial warranty settlements.

Customer care is a vital part of the business, and you will be responsible for ensuring that any complaints/problems are followed up and concluded at the earliest possible opportunity. You will be responsible for quality checks on technical work in line with Company policy, personally checking that the presentation of vehicles after work and staff customer handling is at the required standard.  

The successful candidate will be joining a well established family business with a local reputation of being both a trusted and fair dealership. This role is therefore a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop within a progressive organization.
The successful candidate ideally will already have industry experience with a proven track sales record, they will also be highly motivated and a creative thinker who is looking to develop in this sales role in a well established Company. You will be expected to provide the highest level of service to our existing customers, at the same time developing new contacts. The successful candidate must be able to work on their own initiative, prospecting and representing the Company through to the deal and delivery.
