1st Line IT Support

The Company

Established in 1790 in London, Haynes Bros Ltd is the holding company for a group of subsidiary businesses operating throughout the South of England.

After moving to Kent in 1832, the company became the first in the county to take on the Ford Motor Company franchise in 1911, selling cars, trucks and agricultural machinery. Today, the Group works with manufacturers including Iveco, New Holland, Case IH, Changan and JCB across 12 locations.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding IT department. You will provide first‑line support, diagnose everyday IT issues, assist with project work and help deploy new equipment across the Group.

This role is ideal for someone with IT industry experience or certifications such as CompTIA.

Responsibilities Include

• Handling 1st line support calls and logging tickets.
• Basic troubleshooting and escalation when needed.
• Remote support for software issues and password resets.
• Setting up PCs, mobile phones and tablets.
• Printer troubleshooting.
• Basic network diagnostics.
• Monitoring antivirus alerts, backup failures and system reports.
• Patch management and Windows update tracking.
• Assisting with toner and ink dispatch.
• Other ad‑hoc IT duties as required.

Person Specification

Key Competencies

• Knowledge of ticketing systems and cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of Intune & Defender (preferred).
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and VPN setup.
• Strong Windows 11 PC & printer troubleshooting skills.
• Experience setting up and migrating iOS devices.
• VoIP administration experience (beneficial).
• Motor industry exposure preferred but not essential.
