The Role

Supervision and daily management of accounts office consisting of 6-7 personnel. Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly processing within each accounting function. Ensure accurate and timely input of transactions to ensure real-time reporting is available for the management team


  • VAT reporting, including foreign sales and purchases
  • Intrastat
  • Control AR and AP functions, including warranty debt. Reporting to management team and Directors on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Review AR processes and reporting to reduce debt exposure
  • Produce weekly and monthly Unit Debt Reports
  • Implement a new process for expense claims
  • Coordinate document archiving and processing from various manufacturer portals
  • Process monthly DDs for Sales Ledger
  • Review and dual authorise AP BACs runs
  • Control company Paypal accounts
  • Reconcile various manufacturers’ accounts
  • Print out AWACS for AR & AP depts to amend bank account details
  • Review and distribute CNH emails communications to Agricultural Division
  • Authorise one-off payment requests
  • Set up DD Mandates
  • Countersign all Account Credit application forms
  • Complete AP account request forms
  • Manage Accounts staff holiday requests
  • Complete Accounts staff sickness & return to work forms
  • Deal with any queries that arise
  • Oversee and assist staff when needed
  • Other Adhoc duties

Person Specification

Key Competencies

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of Dealer Management Systems, such as Power, Ibcos, Gold (or similar) would be advantageous
  • Motor industry experience would be preferred but is not essential
  • Outstanding numeracy skills
